The "Theory of Neural Dynamics" at the MPI for Brain Research lead by Dr. Tchumatchenko offers fully funded PhD positions or Postdoc positions, with funding according to the TVöD.regulations. We are looking for scientists who are interested in understanding of how neuronal networks work, how they respond to stimuli and what role connectivity and single neuron dynamics play for the activity of the brain.

 The Max Planck Institute for Brain Research (MPI for Brain Research) in Frankfurt/Main, Germany is a growing research institution of more than 300 people, working in the field of basic biological and medical research. We focus on understanding how the brain works, particularly the circuits and network of neurons within it.

A research group, Memory and Navigation Circuits (Group leader: Dr. Hiroshi Ito), investigates neural circuits that are necessary for animals to navigate to a desired location in the environment. We are looking for a Technician (BTA/MTA/CTA) to join our group at 100% employment with a fixed-term contract of two years.
