Animal Facility
The Institute’s animal facility houses and breeds the animals needed for the research at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research. It ensures that the animals are kept in accordance with their natural needs and in a highly hygienic environment, guaranteeing both animal welfare and reproducibility for experimental research. Our Animal Welfare Officer checks compliance with animal protection laws and advises the scientists on issues of animal welfare.
