October 14, 2015

Between October 14 and 16, the Frankfurt and Mainz-based Collaborative Research Center 1080 ("Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of Neural Homeostasis") will be holding an International Symposium at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research.

We are very fortunate that Eve Marder (Victor and Gwendolyn Beinfield Professor of Neuroscience in the Biology Department of Brandeis University and Head of the Division of Science at Brandeis) has agreed to give the keynote speech on October 14.

In addition to the keynote speaker, the conference will include presentations by five internationally outstanding scientists from various research fields: Steve Finkbeiner (Taube/Koret Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research and UCSF), Oliver Hobert (Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Columbia University), Steven A. Siegelbaum (Columbia University Medical Center), Mriganka Sur (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and D. James Surmeier (Northwestern University) as well as project presentations from the CRC´s project leaders
