Images of neurons used for art project

December 05, 2012

Researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research make many images of neurons and neuronal networks. It turned out that these do not only have scientific, but also aesthetic value.

The Max Planck Institute for Brain Research was asked to contribute to a small exhibition, called makroMIKRO, on display from December 5 till December 21, 2012 in Potsdam (near Berlin) and devised, planned and built up by two students, studying "European Media Studies" at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Shown was a collage of various images of neurons and other cells.
