Communication
Transparency is an integral part of our work - it enables us to make science accessible to everyone. Open and transparent communication is key to building understanding and trust in our research. Our goal is to make our scientific activities and their results understandable to anyone interested, and we provide regular updates on progress, results and achievements.

We use a variety of communication channels to make our work understandable and accessible:
- Press Releases: We use press releases to inform the public about important developments and breakthroughs in our research.
- Scientific Publications: Our research is published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. These publications are an essential part of scientific communication and contribute to the dissemination and validation of our research.
- Public Events: We organize and participate in public events, conferences and lectures to present our work and promote dialogue with society.
- School Visits: We regularly invite students to visit our research institute. These visits provide an opportunity for them to gain an insight into our work, learn more about scientific methods and stimulate their interest in science and research. Such visits foster an understanding of the scientific process and inspire the next generation of researchers.
- Animal House Visits: Transparency in animal care is important to us. That’s why we offer interested parties the opportunity to visit our animal facilities from time to time. During these visits, we show our high standards of animal husbandry, explain our animal welfare measures we implement, and answer any open questions. This helps dispel misconceptions and strengthens confidence in our practices.
Our commitment to transparency and dialogue is not only aimed at building trust in our research, but also at highlighting the importance and benefits of our work to society. We strive to continuously improve our communication efforts and find new ways to make our work and its impact accessible and understandable.
To better inform the public about our animal research, we joined the Initiative Transparente Tierversuche (German website). This membership supports our goal to report transparently on the reasons, methods and results of our work and promote an open dialogue with society.
